Tatiana Koleva, tolkala (Bolgarija)

Priznana virtuozinja Tatiana Koleva, vsestranska in inovativna umetnica na marimbi in tolkalih je solistično in s projektnimi zasedbami krstno izvedla preko 95 za to napisanih glasbenih del. Rojena v Bolgariji, trenutno živi na Nizozemskem, kjer uči na Konservatoriju Prince Claus in Univerzi Hanse v Groningenu. Je ustanoviteljica nagrajene organizacije “Youth Percussion Pool”, ki omogoča izobraževanje in koncertiranje mladih profesionalcev. Koleva nastopa po Evropi, Amerikah, Aziji in Bližnjem Vzhodu. Redno jo vabijo k sodelovanju v vodilne zasedbe, igra pa tudi v duih, na primer z organistom Janom Hagejem in drugimi. Pogosto se ukvarja s projekti, ki združujejo različne zvrsti glasbe kot so improviziran jazz, rock, filmska in odrska glasba. Recognized as virtuoso, versatile and innovative artist on marimba and percussion Tatiana Koleva has premiered over 95 works created specially for her solo and ensemble projects. Born in Bulgaria, currently lives in The Netherlands where she holds a teaching position at the Prince Claus Conservatory and Hanze University in Groningen. She is the founder of the award winning formation ‘Youth Percussion Pool’ – an education and performing platform for young professionals. She has performed throughout Europe, Americas, Asia and Middle East. She is regularly invited to join projects by leading ensembles and forms duos with organist Jan Hage and others. She is also often involved in cross-genre projects with improvised jazz, rock, film and stage music. Barbara Tomasin, tolkala (Italija)

Barbara Tomasin je leta 1997 diplomirala iz tolkal na Konservatoriju v Vidmu, in že istega leta uspešno opravila avdicijo za Simfonični orkester G. Verdi v Milanu. Sodelovala je še z mnogimi drugimi orkestri po Italiji kot so: Orkester Friuli Venezia Giulia, Orkester Teatro alla Scala, Filharmonični orkester Scala. Med leti 1994 in 1996 je sodelovala na mojstrskih tečajih z Italijanskim mladinskim orkestrom in leta 1998 z Orchestra Accademia della Filarmonica della Scala. Trenutno je redno zaposlena v Orchestra del Teatro la Fenice v Benetkah kot ena izmed glavnih timpanistov.

Barbara Tomasin graduated in percussion from the Conservatory of Udine in 1997, in the same year she won the audition for the Orchestra Sinfonica G. Verdi di Milano. She has collaborated with various orchestras in Italy such as: Orchestra del Friuli Venezia Giulia, Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala, Orchestra della Filarmonica della Scala, and many others. From 1994 to 1996 she took part in masterclasses in Fiesole with the Orchestra Giovanile Italiana, and in 1998 with the Orchestra Accademia della Filarmonica della Scala. At the present moment she is working full time in the Orchestra del Teatro la Fenice di Venezia as one of the principal timpanists.

Jaka Pucihar, skladatelj (Slovenija)

Leta 1998 je na Akademiji za glasbo Ljubljana z odliko zaključil študij kompozicije in glasbene teorije (mentor prof. Alojz Srebotnjak) ter leta 2002 končal še magisterij. Je prejemnik študentske Prešernove nagrade, od leta 1999 pa na Akademiji za glasbo v Ljubljani – trenutno kot izredni profesor – predava jazz harmonijo, aranžiranje, improvizacijo, jazz klavir in je predstojnik katedre za jazz. Poleg skladateljskega in aranžerskega delovanja je pomembna njegova aktivnost na poustvarjalnem področju: sodeluje z nekaterimi vidnejšimi umetniki, kot npr. Ireno Grafenauer, Matejem Bekavcem, Darjo Švajger, Vito Mavrič, Alenko Godec, s Simfoničnim orkestrom ter Big Bandom RTV Slovenija ter številnimi drugimi. Z ženo Ilonko Pucihar je soavtor priljubljene serije učbenikov Moj prijatelj klavir.

Jaka Pucihar, composer (Slovenia)
Jaka Pucihar completed his Master’s degree (composition and music theory, 2002) at the Ljubljana Academy of Music. His compositions and arrangements have been performed and/or recorded by numerous renowned ensembles and orchestras worldwide. As jazz pianist he has performed as a member of various chamber ensembles throughout Slovenia, as well as in Canada, throughout Europe, Russia and India. In 1998 he received the Student’s Prešeren Prize of the Music Academy for a symphonic work the Concert for percussion and orchestra. From 1999 he lectures in jazz harmony, jazz arranging, improvisation and jazz piano at the Ljubljana Academy of Music (associate professor). Together with his wife Ilonka Pucihar he is the coauthor of a series of books titled My Friend the Piano (in Slovene, Croatian and English).
